There are stories that have clear cut endings, like good triumphs over evil, or the couple gets together, and then there are stories that have less obvious endings. But no matter what kind of story you're writing, finding the right ending is essential. Ending too soon or too late, or too cleanly, can leave readers feeling unsatisfied. The problem is that the writing and the editing can go on and on, especially if you’re the type that isn’t easily satisfied with your work. So how do you do it? How do you know when you’re done writing? And when you’ve got the story, how do you know when you’re done revising? In this Third Thursday panel, join writers Edward Carey, Trent Hudley, and Alex Temblador as they discuss how they know when to put the pen down. This conversation will be moderated by WLT Program Director Sam Babiak.
