Since 2015, Alex Temblador has worked as a full-time freelance journalist, primarily covering travel, arts, and culture, especially under the lenses of diversity, equity, and inclusion. She also produces home, gear, and apparel product reviews and dabbles in design and architectural stories.

Her work has appeared in outlets like Travel + Leisure, Outside, Texas Monthly, The Daily Beast, Tech Radar, Tom’s Guide, Conde Nast Traveler, Lonely Planet, Fodor’s Travel, TravelPulse, Dwell, Architectural Digest, Insider, TimeOut, among many others.

In 2021, she was awarded the Bessie Award for the Most Impactful Piece of Writing for her article on Conde Nast Traveler, “Questions Every Anti-Racist Traveler Should Ask on a Trip.”

In her career as a journalist, Alex has been featured on news stations, podcasts, radio shows, and on panels for organizations and conferences like the SXSW, Society of American Travel Writers, PRSA, World Travel Market, Women in Travel Summit by Wanderful, among many others.
